what did we learn about sassy in chapter 14 of scoprion

Sassy is afraid Jamal will get into trouble like Randy. The only thing he has power over is keeping Sassy from telling Mama about the gun. He does not want to make her cry like his father and brother did. He begs Sassy not to tell. It is his only consolation when she agrees. The internal conflict Jamal is feeling is building to a climax. Somehow he must resolve whether to leave the Scorpions and whether to get rid of the gun. Jamal's mother is in anguish over Randy. Jamal cannot disappoint her, too.
