Who is Cap in Schooled by Gordon Korman?

Cap (Capricorn) is the main character and protagonist of the novel, Schooled. He is thirteen years old, has been raised on a hippie commune, and has his life turned upside down when his Gradmother is injured and he is forced to attend public school for the first time.
