In what way does Anderson characterize the way in which her life and her stories intersect?

In the poem entitled “Polyhymnia,” Anderson describes the intersection between the character of Miranda within her novel speak and her own identity. After explaining a few of the ways in which the two young women were the same and different from one another, Anderson characterizes the way in which her stories and her life overlap as being like “a garden courtyard” (168). In this way, she demonstrates the intermingling that occurs between the details of her life and the details of her novels.
