Alexander Bobrov is Nikita's grandson. He serves as an official in the government of Catherine the Great, is tricked into marriage, and finds it difficult to live within his means. When the government garners evidence of his relationship to the Freemasons, Alexander is imprisoned in Russka's local monastery. He is released after his cousin Catherine's death.
