Consider point of view

"Romancing Mister Bridgerton" by Julia Quinn is written from a third-person and subjective point of view, and the subjectivity changes between Penelope and Colin regularly. This gives the reader an overview of the story, and it also gives the reader insight into what each of the main characters is thinking and feeling. There are times when the switch in subjectivity occurs within a page.

The point of view is important because outward growth in the relationship is slow. However, due to the subjective glimpses of each of the main characters, the reader witnesses progressive internal growth. This makes the characters more relatable and realistic.
