Who is Kathy Ann Black, Kathy Ann Marcinko from Rogue Warrior and what is their importance?

Kathy Ann Black, later Kathy Ann Marcinko is Richard's wife. She suffers the usual problems of Navy wives. She lives in a small house in Virginia Beach, VA, next to other Navy wives, and has to take care of her two children with Richard often absent. While many Navy men later in their career work at the Pentagon, Richard only stays home about 4 years and then is again traveling with the Navy. Richard knows that his marriage will probably not survive his commanding SEAL Team Six and it does not. Richard and Kathy Ann separate when their children are already teenagers.
