Tull pretends to be a good Mormon man, devoted to his family and doing good deeds, but he is not. This front, however, allows Tull to play both ends of the conspiracy against Jane, as he can delegate his dirty work and never be caught doing anything wrong. This leaves Jane wondering where the attacks are coming from, and could even lead her to Tull for help.
