Write a summary about what happened in the third chapter of the book “Mahmoud”

Chapter Three is set in Aleppo Syria (2015). Mahmoud sits through class, trying to be invisible. When class is over, he looks for Waleed, his brother, because he is nervous about the war. Unlike Mahmoud, Waleed is a robot without emotion, and when Mahmoud finally finds him, they walk home, taking a new route. During their walk, they see two large boys stealing a bag of bread from another boy, and they hide. Mahmoud remembers one day he had protected his friend Khalid from bullies, but it had ended badly for both of them. He thinks watching the boys, “I should do something”, but he and his brother walk away.
