When Jack leaves his lesson with Yegudkin, where does he go?

Jack walks outside on to the street and realizes he has missed his bus. He wipes his eyes, picks up his horn and his music, and begins his walk home. He notices people on the crowded sidewalk as dazed Saturday morning shoppers.
