Why Does Brady say as he's walking to the office "The school hallway never seemed so long?
Brady is walking to the principal's office to tell him the truth about the incident with the kayak. The walk seems long because of the guilt and burden he carries, as to his own actions or inactions, which may have led to the tragedy.
