The use of social media and its prevalence symbolizes the exposure that people like Alex and Henry are subject to. Though Alex and the rest of the White House Trio often engage in social media use and enjoy the exposure it provides, a person like Henry does not appreciate the constant attention. Initially, Alex is able to use social media to his advantage, creating a favorable image for himself amongst the public, but once the Waterloo Letters are released, public opinion of him quickly sours, particularly through social media.
