The narrative is generally related from the third-person, omniscient, point of view but has surprisingly complex second-person observations intermingled throughout the text. For example, after describing a scene in traditional third-person point of view the narrative structure will shift, briefly, into the second-person to establish tone or mood, and then quickly return to the third-person.
