Who is in the bunker and what does Sergeant Hanley order his men to do?

Thomas, Charlie, Sergeant Hanley, and a dozen or so men are in a concrete dugout left by the Germans in what is now part of noman's land. They are surrounded on three sides by German guns. When Sergeant Hanley gives them the order to run for the German line to continue the push, no one is ready to go.
