Peder from Princess Academy is a character of entense emotions and mystery. Peder wants to carve stone for a living but this isn't a likely goal for him since the village can barely quarry anything useful. He is romanticly attached to Miri but doesn'y show it until he is forced to by the fear of losing her to the prince. Eventually he walks her through the village holding her hand.
