What are three character changes in Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice?
I already have that she's not as prejudiced any more, that she's more involved in her family [affairs], but I can't figure out the third one! I had written it down, but now I can't find it. And are there quotes in the book that prove that change? Thanks!
One of the biggest changes in Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice is self awareness. She has always been a keen observor of human nature, in everyone but herself. When she realizes that she's been a fool and that she is just as likely to succumb to emotional responses as her sisters (whom she makes fun of throughout the entire novel) then she begins to mature as a person. You can also mention that she determines to remain true to her own nature, too. She could have so easily given in to the dictates of the day and married Collins when pressured to do so. If her father hadn't have supported her decision, would she have still remained defiant? Maybe. Maybe not.
