Who is Ricky from Prey and what is their importance?

Ricky is in charge of operations at the Xymos fabricating facility. He often interferes with Jack's work and is against destroying the swarm. Jack later discovers that both Rick and Julia are hosts to a swarm. When the facility explodes, Ricky is still inside.
