How did the Crows get the Smallpox, and how did it affect their tribe?

The Crows got the Smallpox from the Shoshones. Before Smallpox had come to the Crows, the people were scarcely every sick. Only war and accidents took lives. Whole families were wiped out and even whole clans because of the Smallpox.
