What plan do the lawmen contrive?

The lawmen come up with a plan to stop the outlaws. The plan is for them to approach the cave near nightfall. They will be wearing the Morton brothers' clothes and hats. They will keep their heads down and have dead rabbits slung over their shoulders. They hope the men in the cave will not spot the deception. They are also stuffing their own clothes with leaves and dirt and propping them up as decoys to look like reinforcements.
