Peace Child

In context, I believe the "peace child" is the person with whom the treaty of peace is established. In the novel, Yae establishes what he thinks is a peace treaty with a neighboring village. He later find out that the men he established the treaty with are actually practicing the Sawi tradition of tuwi asonai man. In this practice, warriors persuade a man to become their friend, with the intention of killing and eating him later.
