What happens when Gray and Pax meet the challenger fox?

When Gray and Pax meet the challenger fox, Gray tries to tell the fox that they are just passing through. The challenger springs at Gray, hits him hard, pins him down, and bites him in the neck. Pax charges the challenger fox. Although the challenger fox is more skilled at fighting, Pax manages to get the fox's throat and chase him away.
