How does Vola help Peter understand the marionettes and how to work them?

When Vola sees that Peter is not in tune with the marionettes, she takes Sinbad apart. She tells Peter to reassemble him in an hour. As Peter puts the puppet back together, he begins to see how Sinbad is made and how he should move. Having to put the puppet back together helped him understand the marionettes and how to work them.
