What do Patina and Tony do when he comes to check on her before bed?

Tony comes to check on Patina before she goes to bed. She brings an empty plate, and they pretend to eat strawberry cupcakes together. Tears slip down Tony's face. Patina finally lets loose of all the tears she has been holding and she cries.
