How is Becca's room different from what Patina expects?

Patina expects Becca room to be all pink and purple like a candy shop. Instead, her room is decorated entirely in black. The walls, the closet doors, the lamps and lights, the desk, the ceiling, and everything are black. When Becca turns off the lights, the room glows with planets and constellations.
