How do Patina and her family celebrate her dad's birthday?

On her dad's birthday, Patina's family gets together and celebrates with cupcakes. It is a tradition Patina loves, but that also makes her sad. It is a time for everybody to sit around and for the older family members to tell jokes and tell her and Maddy stories about their dad.
