Who is Miles from Passion and what is their importance?

Miles is one of Luce's friends from school. Like Luce, he travels back in time with the hopes of catching Luce and bringing her back to safety in the present. Miles is a Nephilim, the spawn of a fallen angel and a human. His one moment of importance in the novel is when he helps Daniel split from his cleaved soul by engaging in a sword fight with Daniel and stabbing him with a star shot.
