Who is Horace Souza and what happens during the first meeting he has with Alex in the story?

Horace Souza is a lawyer who wants to meet with Alex in order to discuss Jamey. Souza sends his chauffeur, Tully, to pick Alex up and bring him to his office. During the meeting, Souza informs Alex that the slasher murders are being blamed on Jamey. Alex also learns that the police plan to hold a press conference in order to announce they are holding Jamey as their top suspect in the slasher murders.
