What happens when Alex goes to find Mrs. Vann in Chapter 20?

When Alex goes to find Mrs. Vann in Chapter 20, he finds that she is missing. Alex searches for her at local hospitals and agencies. He eventually finds her in a registry and pretends to be Dr. Mainwaring in order to get her new address.
