Who is Harry from Out of the Silent Planet and what is their importance?

Harry is actually the reason that Ransom visits the farm where Devine and Weston live in the English countryside. Harry tends the furnace at the farm and his mother is worried about where he is. Weston and Devine are trying to kidnap Harry when Ransom shows up. Weston and Devine agree to let the boy go in exchange for Ransom.
