Who is Mikie Dobrejcak from Out of This Furnace and what is their importance?

Mary and Mike Dobrejcak are Mikie's parents. He spends his early life living in the sanitarium with his mother and sisters, but after his mother's death, he returns to Braddock and begins an apprenticeship in the mills. He later moves to New York.
