With whom is Edmond Kirsch meeting in the Prologue? Why?

Edmond Kirsch is meeting with three representatives of the world's largest religions: a Catholic bishop, a Rabbi, and an Islamist leader. He is meeting with them in order to show them his discovery on human origins in order to see their reaction as to how this discovery will affect the faithful.
