How does the author use imagery to illustrate the theme of oppression in the story, Orientation?

From the photocopier room, the employees can see their own reflections in the windows of a building across the road. This creates imagery that suggests that the windows are like mirrors, so even when the employees look outside of the window, they can only see the office. This suggests that they are trapped inside the office.
