In Chapter Twenty-One, what happens to Bri and Malik as they walk back to Bri's house?

In Chapter Twenty-One, Bri and Malik are robbed at gunpoint as they walk back to Bri's house. A member of the Crown gang steals Bri's father's chain that she has been wearing, and she is devastated and heartbroken because it was her father's and because she had thought of it as her family's safety net to be able to pawn if things got really desperate for them.
