Who is Dick Eikenborn?

Dick Eikenborn is the white businessman with whom Olga has an affair. He was one of Olga's client's fathers, and they met on the flight to the wedding. Though Dick is repellant to Olga for a variety of reasons, she enjoys their affair because it grants her a sense of power. Throughout the novel, she goes back and forth between seeing Dick and ignoring him. She often uses him for her own gain, which confuses Dick. He believes that being seen with Olga is a point of pride. He even leaves his wife for her, shocked to discover afterwards that Olga has no interest in being with him.
