Of Mice and Men Why does George have to kill Lennie? Asked by bookragstutor on 20 Aug 10:23 Last updated by Jill W on 10 Dec 16:39
George takes Lennie's life in order to save him from the men. Curley and the others are prepared to hang or shoot Lennie on sight. George knows that the end is written, and he chooses to do so in the most merciful way he can.
