What is the importance of Oberon Cove in the novel, Now That You Mention It?

Oberon Cove is where Nora’s houseboat is docked. It is separated from the road by a small cove. In order to get to it a person has to walk down a path cut between long grass. The cove itself is ringed with pine trees and rocks, and it is peaceful, with small waves and a murmuring wind. The posts that line the gray dock are connected by a rope railing that swoops gracefully. In the nighttime copper footlights light the way.
