How does Adichie describe the burning of her father's books at their home in Nigeria in the memoir, Notes on Grief?

When James returned to Nigeria shortly before the Biafran war, his personal collection of books was burnt by Nigerian soldiers. Chimamanda Adichie notes the she was haunted by the image of "Mounds of charred pages in a pile in my parents' front yard, where they once grew roses" (59).
