Why does Donal take and develop blank photographs in the novel, Nora Webster
.
.
When Nora notices that Donal's photographs are blank, she believes that he isn’t very good at developing film. Donal, however, tells her that the photographs are intentionally blank. These blank photographs, which are empty of any real subject matter, serve as a symbol of Donal’s feelings following the death of his father. He feels empty and blank.
