Kiara is able to pay her rent and Dee's. She realizes the prostitution is her job and a roof over her head and Trevor's. She does not have to worry so much about rent or hot water. Instead, she has to worry about bruises and guns and what Marcus thinks. She tries to tell herself it is just sex, but there "is the terror, the fear" (100).
