How did Kiara's parents meet?

In 1977, Kiara's father had just joined the Panthers. He got in a fight and was arrested for resisting arrest. When Kiara's mother came from Louisiana that summer, Kiara's father's photo was everywhere in the city as groups were trying to get him justice. Kiara's mother was 13. Kiara returned to Louisiana and determined that man would be hers someday. She worked in a hospital answering calls for nearly ten years. She returned to Oakland, found Kiara's father, and orchestrated their meeting. They were married by the time Marcus was born.
