What happens when a man named Bart tries to rape Eliza?

Two men come to Eliza's cabin. The one named Bart claims Eliza for his own. He corners her in the chicken house. He pulls up her skirts and pushes her down on a castoff corncob mattress folded by the rear wall. He climbs on top of her, and she grabs a knife she has hidden. She stabs him in the chest. Then his companion grabs Bart and cracks his skull with the butt end of his rifle.
