Who is Socrates from Nicomachean Ethics and what is their importance?

Socrates was a Greek philosopher. His ideas are known mainly through the writings of Plato. Aristotle mentioned Socrates and referred to his philosophy in the Nichomachean Ethics. He rejected the idea that he attributes to Socrates that virtue alone leads to happiness.
