How are women portrayed in Neverwhere?

Particularly the 3 main characters: Door, Hunter, and Jessica. They all subvert traditional female stereotypes.

Door is a strong, young woman, who is used to being obeyed. She is not subsevient, but rather, a self-sacrificing leader.

Jessica is wealthy and beautiful. Sadly, she thinks of little else beyond herself, and she is quite bossy. Jessica is defferential to her father.

Hunter is tough, but she has limitations. She mus stay in London below.
