Rukmani feels sorry for the Muslim women. Due to the regulations of their religion, they must always be covered when outdoors and can never know the simple pleasures of direct sunlight and fresh air. When Rukmani is inside the Muslim woman's house, the shuttered windows leave Rukmani feeling cold and Rukmani is thankful for the lifestyle she has.
