Who is Atalanta from Mythology and what is their importance?

Atlanta was a female hunter who does a lot of heroic things. She can kill any animal as well as centaurs who get a little too "excited". She goes on a quest for the Golden Fleece. She also wrestles, and wins, against a big guy named Pelias.
