What is the interested part of the novel?

I find the focus on the hereditary aspect of psychiatric illness to be most interesting.

I also find it extremely interesting and dismaying that the author portrays the use of drugs and alcohol, in addition to lying, as typical teenage behavior. This is, of course, my opinion.
