Who is King Olerve the Bastard from Mort and what is their importance?

King Olerve the Bastard is the ruler of Sto Lat. He is described as a tall, golden-bearded man, who is assassinated on the order of his cousin, the Duke of Sto Helit. Olerve's daughter, Keli, witnessed the murder and narrowly escaped death a few nights later. Keli succeeds King Olerve to the throne.
