Moby-Dick What is the main conflict in Moby-Dick by Herman Melville? Asked by bookragstutor on 20 Aug 02:47 Last updated by Cat on 03 Apr 03:20
The major conflict is Ahab's obsession to destroy the whale, Moby Dick. There is a clear man vs nature conflict going on but it extends to conflict within the crew of the Pequod as Ahab is bent on destroying the whale at any cost.
