What are the conditions of Misaki Watari's employment with Kafuku?

Kafuku's theater barely manages to afford the expense of a personal driver for Kafuku, and when he hires Misaki Watari, it is described as an "exceptional luxury" (11) for an actor of his standing. However, he must have one due to his recent trouble with his driver's license. His agreement with Misaki Watari is that she will have her mornings free since Misaki's time will "revolve around the theater" (12) during her period of employment. Kafuku also promises Misaki Watari that she will always be able to quit by eleven o'clock each night. She will have one day off per week and he adds that she can smoke only when the convertible's top is down.
