Who is Will Landsman from Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac and what is their importance?

Will Landsman is Naomi's best friend. He is also the other co-editor of the yearbook. It is the loss of a coin toss between Naomi and Will that sends Naomi back into the school to retrieve the forgotten camera and sends her tumbling down the stairs. Will is far beyond his years as a teenage boy. his father died when he was younger and his mother moved to teach in Tarrytown at Tom Purdue High School, so Will could have a private school education at a reduced cost.

Will is in love with Naomi, but Naomi doesn't realize this until late in the novel. After Will's lung collapses from severe pneumonia, Naomi realizes what a great guy Will really is and that they belong together. By the end of the novel, Will and Naomi are a couple.
