The language used in Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment by James Patterson is a mix of technical jargon and every day common usage. The main characters in the book, Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy and Angel, range from fourteen to six years old. A great deal of the dialogue used by the kids is common usage peppered with slang one might expect from children in that age range, e.g., dweeb, scuzzes, fang-boy.
